STATUS: The Glen Ridge post office is still an active, operating facility, and the mural can be viewed by interested members of the public. It resides in the lobby on the wall above the postmaster’s door.
YEAR: 1936
Was I drunk when I took some of these photos. Why are so many of these tilted? I have no idea, but what I can tell you is that I must have been in a hurry. I do remember my phone battery being in the red and needed to act fast in order to get my photos.
Did I also mentioned I was using my phone as my GPS navigation during this trip. So the phone was working overtime, as GPS and my main photographic equipment. I need to figure out a better way or get an external GPS so I don’t have to use the phone for both functions.
I love it when I find other treasures/artifacts on display in the lobby. Take for instance, these period letters and mail bag. Very cool finds. And a very nice mural.
