STATUS: The Weldon post office is still an active, operating facility, and the relief can be viewed by interested members of the public. It resides in the lobby on the wall above the postmaster’s door.

These are North Carolina post offices (M-Z) from my recent trip—September of 2022. Weldon, relief is the, “Early Childhood of Virginia Dare,”. She was the first English born child in the New Colony in 1587 (now North Carolina).
