ADDRESS: 461 NW Wanapa St., Cascade Locks, Oregon 97014
The Pacific Crest Trail runs straights through Cascades Locks. I distinctly remember the section running into town. It seems most hikers take a more scenic alternate route in this area. I guess you could say I tend to be more of a purist when it comes to following the trail. As I was hiking I kept running through spider webs across the trail, which lead me to believe this part is not used as much. The trail runs pretty high and eventually runs right into town.
Of course what did I end up doing in Cascade Locks? You bet, I took a picture of the post office and ate a lot of food. There is camping at the park right outside of town and several other hikers were gathered here at the time I stayed. It’s really a nice thing for the town to allow this camping right near town. I enjoyed my stay.
