ADDRESS: 301 Main St., Cornell, Wisconsin 54732
One of the reasons I enjoy photographing and visiting post offices is because it’s a great indicator of where I’ve been. The post office has the name of the city written on the exterior of the building right? Well, most of the time and in fact the majority of the time this is a true statement.
So then why the big fuss? Well for starters the Cornell post offices does not have the name of the city posted on the exterior of the building. In fact I had to go through all the photographs I took this day just to figure out where I was when I took it. Luckily for me I also made a note to my self to remember which post office this was. It’s just one of those things you learn as you spend your days driving around photographing post offices. When you get back to your home office you like to know which one it was. Has this ever happened to you? Ever go through your photos and think “Where was I” It’s a lot like that.
