ADDRESS: 130 State St., Oshkosh, Wisconsin 54901
This week I’d like to share some post offices I visited during the summer of 2003. Today I highlight the Downtown Oshkosh, WI Post Office.
In early 2000 and 2003 I spend a great deal of time in Wisconsin. My parents once had a summer place on Lake Winneconne, which is the reason for spending so much time in this area.
Oshkosh is also home to UWO, which I admit spent a solid year attending but really disliked. Oshkosh is also home to the annual AirVenture show. One summer my friends joined me for this amazing event. If you ever have the chance to visit I recommend you add it to your bucket list. If nothing else stay for the airshow it’s definitely worth the time.
The pictures below reflect how shy I was when I first started taking pictures of post offices. I was afraid people would laugh or make fun of me for photographing the buildings. The reflection in the window is me sitting in my convertible car. It’s actually a rare photo as I did not drive it very often.
Thanks,
David W. Gates Jr.
