YEAR: 1940
During my summer vacation with my son we headed to Mammoth Cave National Park. Along the way we also stopped to enjoy some historic, beautiful post offices. This one from Greenville is well maintained.
The additional historic photographs of the building are a nice treat and made this trip extra special.
I love the green copper roof and how it has aged. Definitely a signature element to the beauty of this building. I’m a bit disappointed they landscaped over the cornerstone, but hopefully someone will notice and make the whole thing visible again.
If you missed our guest post from Roger, he also visited this one which we wrote about here.
Thanks,
