I distinctly remember this visit. I was so impressed with the mural and artifacts I found here. It really does make a difference when you have people who take the time to care for the building. It’s even better when someone takes the time to post old photos of the building and fill up the Bulletin boards with more information. This is exactly what I found in Kewaunee.
Were you responsible for putting up the old photos? Did you work here at some point? Do you still work here? I wish I had visited during the weekday to met you all. Thanks for maintaining this wonderful post office.
FYI, I just had to take a picture of the old ash tray along the wall. I think it’s a great reminder how all public spaces used to have ash trays available since so many people smoked at the time. Even the ash tray is a relic and historic piece, who would have ever though? What do you think of this one?
Thanks,
