ADDRESS: 125 Schelter Rd., Lincolnshire, Illinois 60069
I was on the way home from running errands and stopped at the Lincolnshire post office. It was busy, and there were cars in the parking lot. When I first spotted it, I was happy to see that it was a stand alone building. These always make me happy. I just think they have more character than other post offices.
The Lincolnshire post office is a perfect example of what I look for in a post office. Nice stand alone building with the name and zip displayed on the outside. It’s the perfect post card or souvenir.
Contrast this to the Island Lake, IL post office I stopped at today and you’ll see the difference.
The lobby is rather small and I found the dedication plaque. The building was dedicated in 1988 while Ronald Reagan was president. Anthony M Frank was postmaster general.
Thanks for reading.
