ADDRESS: 121 E. Chestnut St., New Carlisle, Indiana 46552
Ever walk into a room where everyone is staring at you? This is exactly what happened on my visit to the New Carlisle, Indiana Post Office.
Apparently the building closes for lunch so people were lined up in the lobby waiting for it to re-open.
Funny thing is I wasn’t really paying attention and when I entered the lobby everyone just sort of went quiet and stared at me. I must have looked suspicious or something carrying a camera and tripod in my arms. When I started looking around I guess people must have thought to themselves “what is this guy up to?.” I ignored the stares and nobody said anything to me. I took my pictures and left.
The building was dedicated in 1964 while Lyndon B Johnson was president. John A Gronouski was postmaster general.
