I agree, it is quit distinctive. What stands out for me is the sharp angles and lines of the figures and elements. It has a mechanical feel to it. The colors also add a certain feel to it.
From my research experience, there are sometime letters in the archives with speak to the reception of the work from the community. It will be interesting to learn if any present when we can get back into the archives.
Maybe the local historical society has old newspaper clippings from that time period? Eventually, I’ll circle around to doing more research for the Delaware murals, but for now to-do list is growing by the day.
