ADDRESS: 5510 Mill St., Richmond, Illinois 60071
My initial visit to the Richmond Post Office was September 2003. I think at the time I was headed up to Wisconsin. Since starting this website, I’ve revisited this one in January of 2012.
What I really like about my early photos is the way in which I took them. Take the examples below. When I first started taking pictures I just put the camera wherever I could in order to get my self-portrait. In the photo below I was driving around in my 2001 Pontiac Trans Am convertible. I loved that car it was so much fun to drive. The camera I had at the time didn’t have a very long timer so I never turned around in time to get a good self-portrait. Anyway, here is the Richmond Post Office.
It was Sunday when I visited in 2012 and this one does not keep the lobby open. I ended up taking a picture of the dedication plaque through the window. One of these day’s I’ll swing by for a better photo of it, but until that time, here you go. Enjoy!
Thanks,
