ADDRESS: 208 W. Main St., Rochester, Wisconsin 53167
When I arrived at the Rochester post office there was a man walking out of the building. Since I had my tripod setup and was walking back and forth he offered to take my picture. Since I had already gotten a few good ones I declined his offer. He apparently was not in any hurry and we ended up chatting for a few minutes. I explained I was out looking for post office murals and decided to stop in this nice little Rochester post office.
He immediately started to offer advise and commented on some of the other surrounding post offices. He mentioned the Springfield post office was in a trailer. He also practically begged me to introduce myself to the postmaster here. Since there was no line and I wasn’t in any hurry I stepped inside and introduced myself. I was greeted by a nice friendly lady. We talked for a few minutes and then I was on my way. I keep repeating to myself that I needed to stop at the Springfield post office. Thanks to the man I met for the tips and information. I ended up stopping at the Springfield and several more on this road trip.
Thanks,
