ADDRESS: 522 N. 9th St., Sheboygan, Wisconsin 53081
So where do I begin with the Sheboygan Wisconsin Post Office? There is a lot to see here and a lot of material, so much that I chose to break this down into a Six-Part Series. Why? because there are five very large and wonderful murals, and displaying photos of all this in one article would not give each mural the credit it deserves. I feel each mural should have its own article. I also feel the building deserved its own separate write-up.
Plus there is a lot of other things I photographed, during this visit. Examples of artifacts and treasures found here include an US Geologic Survey marker, display cases with historic artifacts, a landmark plaque and the building itself are all highlights I wanted to share. So sit back relax and enjoy part one of our six-part series featuring the Sheboygan Wisconsin Post Office. And by all means, have a comment, suggestion or additional information about this wonderful post office, we’d love to hear your comments below.
Today’s part one features the building, and artifacts. Stay tuned for part two tomorrow featuring the first mural “Indian Life“.
Thanks,
David W. Gates Jr.
