Strawn Illinois Post Office

ADDRESS: 205 S. First St., Strawn, IL 61775

The odd thing about this one is there is not sign on the windows or building. Most post offices have the name of the city or town on the window or building. This one did not have either. In fact when I was going through my pictures I had to look at the dates and map in order to figure out which one this was.

One drawback to taking road trips and taking lots of pictures is that sometime you forget which ones are which. So this leads me to ask the question. Why is it that some towns have a name plaque or sign indicating the name of the town and others do not? Do you happen to know? I’d like to hear your comments below.
