ADDRESS: 282 S Garnett St, Henderson, NC 27536
North Carolina post offices (A-L group) from my recent trip, September of 2022; a few were taken in 2016 (Asheboro, Cedar Falls, Franklinville) which I somehow hadn’t posted.
Henderson’s old PO—built 1911 and was a PO through 1967. In 1987 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

STATUS: The mural that once resided here has been moved to the newer post office facility on McCorkle Blvd.
YEAR: 1935
I had no idea this one was up for lease. Apparently, the local police were in the building until recently. Someone purchased it and is renting it out. It was closed when I visited. I’d love to see the inside.
