STATUS: The Goshen post office is still an active, operating facility, and the mural can be viewed by interested members of the public. It resides in the lobby on a wall above the postmaster’s door.
YEAR: 1937
Goshen’s post office was built between 1935-36. The mural is of the historic harness track in Goshen which was built in 1838 and is the longest continuous in-use horse track in the United States. President Ulysses S. Grant once stayed at a hotel in Goshen which overlooked this track and allowed him to watch the races.
