STATUS: The Ada post office is still an active, operating facility and the mural can be viewed by interested members of the public. The mural resides in the lobby on a wall above the postmaster’s door.
YEAR: 1940
The Ada, Ohio Post Office visit is another example of discovery. When I asked at the front desk about the mural the postal employee immediately went to get the postmaster. We chatted for a few minutes about the mural and building.
She also informed me of a local person who wrote an article about Ada that included some information about the old Post Office. This is valuable information and something I hope with a little more time would be able to investigate further in the future.
