ADDRESS: 200 East Main Street, Crooksville, Ohio 4373
ARTIST: Thomas G. LoMedico
TITLE: Potter
MEDIUM: Terra-cotta (relief)
STATUS: The Crooksville post office is still an active, operating facility, and the relief can be viewed by interested members of the public. It resides in the lobby on the wall above the postmaster’s door.
YEAR: 1939
Always a challenge taking good photos when the sun is right in your face. Note to self this was later in the day towards the end of October when I visited. If and when I return, I’ll want to visit in the morning hours for better photographs.
The relief looks great and has not changed a bit since it was first installed. What a wonderful treat to see a lobby which for the most part has not been remodeled too much.
