ADDRESS: 93 Ripshin Rd., Troutdale, Virginia 24378
Troutdale was a friendly little stop along my Appalachian Trail hike. I have fond memories of Jerry picking hikers up from the trail and shuttling them to his store. Talk about customer service? When the owner picks you up and drives you to his business?
Funny, but that’s how the logistics seem to work when thru-hiking. Random strangers offering to help out where ever they can, even if it means driving you to the only store or restaurant open in town. I don’t believe I ever remember seeing anything else open in the town of Troutdale.
